A Deed Without a Name

Vanessa has strange proclivities when it comes to the sexual nature she engages in with men. The things that others wouldn’t consider an option are just a tease in her twisted games. Handcuffs. Blindfolds. Gags. Firearms. Not your usual thrills in bed. Vanessa has a history of pushing the limits of her sexual appetite, mostly pushing her suitors beyond their own comforts.

Rob is the latest man to pass through her web. His own desire to be removed from control and placed in a position of subordination gives him a thrill for life when unbound. Unfortunately, for Rob, this night has gone to far for both of them. Vanessa now has only one person to turn to.

Jay is all too willing to be that person. Having known Vanessa’s passion, he longs for the idea of her wild tendencies calming down so that she may take him back. His overwhelming desire for her makes it favorable for Vanessa to seek safety with him. With Jay’s consent, he helps her cover up her latest mistake.

How many men does Vanessa have helping her this evening? It becomes all to clear to Jay that he is just another pawn in Vanessa’s ever evolving sexual game of cat and mouse. Unfortunately for Jay, his realization may have come to late, and with a great cost than he could ever imagine.

A Deed without a Name takes a line from Macbeth to the witches who foresee his destiny and turns into a film noir. It is a shadowy place, where the lines between love, lust, and death become a confusing telling for one woman’s life. If love a dark movie, with twists as deep as the shadows the people hide in, then A Deed without a Name gladly opens a door for you.

A Deed Without a Name is the first short film written and produced by Jeri Klein, and produced and directed by Martin Vavra. A Deed Without a Name takes you into a world where a twisted game of sexual cat and mouse is commonplace, and where being good…might just get you killed.

Currently, A Deed without a Name is in consideration for a number of film festivals, including Nantucket, Rhode Island, Los Angeles International, GenCon, Cannes Independent, Cannes Indie Showcase for Emergent Filmmakers, and several others. Many are long shots, but the festival circuit is a great way for someone to get their name and their films out there and recognized. So here is hope that luck is a factor with the talent.
